Mark Batey

Mark Batey gained over 20 years’ experience with major international advertising agencies, handling the brands of well-known multinational companies. A language graduate of Oxford University, he has worked in England, Central Europe, Latin America, and the United States, where he is based. He has extensive experience in managing brands over time, geographies, and cultures

His book Brand Meaning explores how people find and create meaning in brands and has been translated into several languages. The second edition was published in 2016.

From 2011, Mark worked as an independent marketing consultant, as well as teaching, speaking and training on brand management. This included assignments as visiting professor at universities and business schools in Paris, Barcelona, and Sao Paulo.

Since 2018, he has moved the focus of his professional activity towards the Catholic sector, working on projects for various Catholic businesses, organizations, and apostolates.

He has a deep interest in the Catholic history of England and Wales, particularly the recusancy era and its saints, martyrs, and confessors.

Mark is founding member of the North American Friends of the Venerable English College.
